Covey Golf



	Thanks to the support and generosity of our sponsors and participants, the William E. Covey Memorial Golf Tournament, has raised $40,000 for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF). Based on the success of last year’s tournament we will be holding the 5th Annual William E. Covey Memorial Golf Tournament on: Monday, September 20th, 2010 at the picturesque Battleground Country Club Manalapan, NJ. The estimated frequency of multiple myeloma is 5-6 new cases per 100,000 persons per year. Accordingly, in the USA an estimated 15,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. At present there are approximately 50,000 people in the United States living with multiple myeloma. While a myeloma diagnosis can be overwhelming, it is important to remember that there are several promising new therapies that are helping patients live longer, healthier lives. The charitable beneficiary for this year’s event will, once again, be the MMRF with a goal of raising $15,000 for this very worth cause. We need your support to help us reach our goal, and in the process, celebrate the life and honor the memory of a great man.
